Division President
Sean Frates has been with The Management Trust since May 2019 but has been in the community management field for nearly 20 years. He currently serves as the Division President of our Texas Division. Sean has a depth of experience in serving new build communities with experience in consulting on community planning, budgeting, and governance. He has held General Manager roles for large-scale master planned Associations with complex components and understands what it takes to provide the highest level of service to our Association partners.
Sean specializes in builder relations, strategic planning, community governance structures, risk management, budget forecasting, annexation of transition elements, and forward planning. Sean has the ability to deep-dive into governing documents and Association processes to assist in drafting and evaluating community regulations. He served as a consultant for many years working with home builders to setup their projects, plan amenity space and successfully assisted them with processing documents through government entities. Though deep dives into the initial planning of complex Associations, Sean has the ability to strategize multiple potential solutions to the many challenges community associations face.
In his free time, Sean enjoys camping and hiking with his wife. He is an explorer at heart, and loves finding new places and getting into new adventures. He and his wife also enjoy giving back and volunteer at the Amber Waves of Grain – a non-profit that gives back to veterans, and also the Texas Humane Heroes – a no-kill, non-profit shelter for dogs and cats.
