Who We Are

We formally launched in 2005 when several independent property management companies joined forces to deliver an exceptional experience for the homeowner association (HOA) industry.  These founders had a shared vision, mutual respect and accountability, and a desire to create a work family for all who enter our doors.

We are currently based in seven states – California, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Texas.  Our 700 and growing employee owners specialize in a variety of fields, enjoy comprehensive perks (keep scrolling!), and are part of a movement to redefine what it is to work for and live in a community managed by us.

Bill of Rights

We established this Customer Bill of Rights to memorialize what every customer can expect from every Management Trust employee owner every day. As a customer of The Management Trust you have the right to:

Feel like you are the most important person to us.

First person resolution when possible. That is, our employee owners will own your need until it is resolved or properly handed off to a team member for resolution

Be treated with respect and with the highest level of integrity because we are professionals

Be treated with warmth and hospitality because we care.

Know you have been heard. We will not end any interaction until we have demonstrated that we understand your needs and have communicated to you our agreed upon next steps

Value demonstrated through delivered results. When possible, we will offer alternative means of resolution so that you may choose the path that best fits for you.

Timely response. Voicemails and/or written communications will be responded to by the end of the next business day. Emergencies will receive an immediate response.

Leadership Management. We will work towards anticipating the needs of your community and offer guidance to the board and homeowners as appropriate.

Well-trained professionals. We are experts in the field of community management, and knowledgeable of the needs of your community.

Quick resolution to breakdowns. We own our mistakes and work tirelessly to correct them.

Employee-Owner Benefits

Our ESOP

An Employee Stock Ownership Plan is a tax qualified benefit program, governed by US law, that gives employees beneficial ownership in the company.  Our gains – such as productivity, profits, revenues, and efficiencies – increase the value of our ESOP.  We say that our primary responsibilities are to preserve and grow ESOP shareholder value, as it is the means by which own our financial futures.  Most importantly, our ESOP defines our culture of respectful, mutual accountability.

Benefits & Wellness

We offer comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and voluntary plans – including company-paid Short Term Disability, Life Insurance, access to our Employee Assistance Program, and industry-leading experts in financial planning.  Our Wellness Incentive Program provides additional company-paid funds towards the cost of our premiums if we choose to proactively manage our health and meet certain biometric criteria.  We have a team of volunteer employee-owners who drive local wellness initiatives like in-office meditation, activity challenges, and charity events.

Office Perks

Many of our offices are regularly stocked with beverages and snacks to fuel our progress.  Certain locations have access to onsite gyms and showers, and many are located in scenic areas within short distance to restaurants, shopping areas, and walking trails.

Professional Development

We believe strongly in fostering a continuous learning environment.  It begins with our robust six (6) month onboarding program that immerses new hires into who we are at The Management Trust.  Many roles have position-specific training curricula that pair internal best practices with external opportunities (like conferences).  Our Champion Employee Owner program is a two and a half day intensive session led by Bill Sasser, our CEO.  We walk away with a greater understanding of our part in what we call the Critical Path.  Upon completion we are eligible for a 5% increase in our pay (requires annual recertification).  As we continue to grow we may become eligible to participate in the Chairman’s Circle and learn the art and science behind quality leadership.

Work/Life Balance

We offer ten (10) paid holidays each year in addition to vacation and sick time accrual.  Many locations close early each Friday to recognize our hard work and the need to spend quality time with our loved ones.  Mobile phone reimbursements are available to qualified employees, and we offer limited telecommuting to certain roles.
